스승 · Seuseung — Privacy Policy

스승 (Seuseung) is a Chrome extension that helps you write better AI prompts by teaching you why improvements work. We are committed to being fully transparent about how the extension handles your data.

What data we collect

스승 collects no personal data. We do not collect your name, email address, IP address, or any information that identifies you as a person.

Each user is assigned a random anonymous ID generated locally on their device when the extension is first installed. This ID contains no personal information and is used only to track daily usage limits (free tier: 10 diagnoses/day).

What happens when you analyse a prompt

When you click "🎓 스승에게 배우기 · Teach me", your prompt text is sent to our secure proxy server, which forwards it to the Anthropic API to generate a diagnosis. Specifically:

• Your prompt text is transmitted to our proxy server over HTTPS.
• The proxy immediately forwards it to the Anthropic API and returns the result.
• We do not log, store, or retain your prompt content on our servers.
• Your anonymous user ID is sent to track your daily usage count only.
• Anthropic's privacy policy governs their handling of API requests: anthropic.com/privacy

Local storage

스승 stores the following data locally on your device only using Chrome's built-in storage API:

• Your anonymous user ID
• Your daily usage count (resets at midnight UTC)
• Your Pro status (if you have upgraded)

This data never leaves your browser and is never transmitted to us or any third party.

Permissions used

• storage — to save your anonymous ID and daily usage count locally
• host_permissions (claude.ai, chatgpt.com, gemini.google.com) — to inject the 스승 button and panel into these AI chat interfaces
• host_permissions (proxy URL) — to connect to our secure proxy when analysing a prompt

We do not request access to your browsing history, tabs, cookies, passwords, or any website content beyond the AI chat interfaces listed above.

Payments

Pro subscriptions are handled by Polar, which acts as the Merchant of Record. Payment processing is handled by Stripe. We never see or store your credit card details. See Polar's Privacy Policy for details on payment data handling.

Third-party services

• Anthropic API — processes your prompt text to generate the diagnosis. See Anthropic's Privacy Policy.
• Polar — handles Pro subscription payments. See Polar's Privacy Policy.
• Railway — hosts our proxy server infrastructure. See Railway's Privacy Policy.

Data retention

Since we don't store your prompt content or personal data on our servers, there is nothing to delete. Local data (anonymous ID, usage count) can be cleared at any time by uninstalling the extension.

Children's privacy

스승 is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect any information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we update this policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
